奈杰尔·霍桑的个人简介
奈杰尔·霍桑（Nigel Hawthorne，1929年4月5日-2001年12月26日），又名奈杰尔·霍华霍内，男，出生于英国英格兰沃里克郡考文垂。英国男演员。
1987年被授予大英帝国司令勋章，1999年又获爵级司令勋章。2001年12月26日因心脏病去世，享年72岁。主要作品有《乔治王的疯狂》等。
早年经历
奈杰尔·霍桑1929年出生于英格兰的考文垂，其母为艾格尼丝·罗斯玛丽，其父为查尔斯·巴纳德·霍桑，一位医生。他在南非长大并且其间就读于开普敦的圣乔治文法学校和那里的基督教兄弟学院。他被开普敦大学录取但是后来退学，并在二十世纪五十年代返回英国开始了他的表演生涯。
演艺经历
奈杰尔·霍桑于50-80年代的工作是出演舞台剧。他在80年代出演BBC电视台的电视剧是，大臣(Yes Minister)里的Humphrey Appleby爵士，这一角色为他赢得了国际声望。而后他出演由舞台剧改编的电影乔治王的疯狂(The Madness of King George)，让他获得了奥斯卡最佳男主角的提名。
个人生活
奈杰尔·霍桑不愿过多谈论自己的私生活，1995年参加奥斯卡颁奖典礼时，不满公众关注他在1992年公开同性恋身份的事。但是，他和他的长期伴侣Trevor Bentham一起出席了那届典礼，并且在接受媒体采访时谈论此事，而在他死后出版的自传《绷着脸》(Straight Face)也有记录。
人物去世
霍桑在接受了几次胰腺癌手术后，死于术后并发症-心脏病，享年72岁。他被葬于英国赫特福德的一个教堂。
